The DNA have provided the Council's Planning Officer with a comprehensive rebuttal of the School's latest Travel Update that was posted on the Council website on the 15th November.
In anticipation of an imminent Council Planning Committee meeting, possibly 20th December, the DNA continues to demonstrate to the Council that the School's case for expansion is built on unsound evidence and we strongly urge the Council to reject this application. We support the aim of a BETTER school, but NOT a BIGGER one.

To summarise our conclusions:
- The traffic problem has not been solved, as Gloucester Road continues to block up, particularly in the afternoons
- The school's analysis of traffic flows remains flawed, as it did not reveal the Gloucester Road traffic problems in the first report, and this one has the same defects
- The experimental access via Carlisle Park is not adequately described or analysed. The only measurement seems to be a single hands-up survey amongst the pupils, which is unreliable and of very limited use, and there seem to be significant errors in the data
- Our observations are that use of Carlisle Park access is much lower in the afternoons than the mornings, possibly influenced by weather/park closing hours, and is far less than suggested by the school's hands-up survey
- The school has not solved the traffic problem, even on current numbers, and an increase in numbers would spread the problem further and is not justifiable on the basis of this report
