Who are DNA?
In March 2011 Denmead School, Hampton, announced plans to expand operations at their Gloucester Road site. Surrounding residents have coexisted with the School's activities for many years. However, many were concerned about the impact of these proposals. The Denmead Neighbours' Association (DNA) was formed as a representative body for those likely to be affected.

DNA Committee Members:
- collated results of local petitions - overwhelming opposition to School's expansion plans:

- met with and put neighbours' case to Hampton School (Denmead's owners)
- conducted a detailed survey of neighbours' opinion which confirmed overall objection to expansion
- held a series of well-attended public meetings to provide neighbours with a discussion forum
- organised regular communication with neighbours
- researched planning, legal and regulatory aspects of the proposed development
- collated and submitted documentary information on neighbours' objections to Richmond Council
- presented neighbours' case for objection at the Planning Committee meeting (20 December 2012) which turned down the original Application for expansion.
- Commissioned professional advice on traffic, planning considerations and building size
- Prepared a response to the 13 June 2013 application, and presented the case at the 20 Dec 2013 meeting
